loss of an alpha

i have, or maybe rather had, this friend - lets call her the alpha tiger. i choose tiger as she is an aloof person, difficult to reach and understand. but i did reach her, or thought i had. you see, she immigrated beginning of this year. we vowed to keep in touch, after all she was the alpha and i the omega of the group. back in june alpha returned for a visit, and things were great... i didn even know when she left again. i was hurt that i wasn told, but quickly forgot the pain when alpha called 3 weeks ago- she was back home! i have however only seen her once since then and it was a stiff uncomfortable reunion. iv tried calling but my every attempt goes unheeded... i miss alpha greatly. so i guess today i can trust that even the strongest of friendships can turn weak, and shatter under pressure
